1st Day of Spring

First day of Spring

First Day of Spring 2011
Posted on March 21, 2011 by Rev. Esther R. Scott

I had a beautiful day with Jesus today. The sun was shining beautifully and the sky was blue and white. The birds chirped like little babies outside, hiding in the trees. I didn’t do much online work today. I just felt led to sit back and relax and listen to Spiritual Jamz from a Detroit Radio Station on my Yahoo Messenger and play Ms. PacMan most of the day. I know, strange to some. While listening to “Nobody Greater” by Vashawn Mitchell today, I got hit with the Holy Spirit of God and praised Him like I was in the middle of a choir stand somewhere. Tears streamed down my face and I just felt a calmness and peace that passes all understanding today. I just turned off my Yahoo Messenger and I feel completely renewed. The Gospel Music today seemed to cleanse me out which is what I needed. I don’t like it when people and certain churches ‘try’ to make everyone cry with slow, boring songs that sound sad, one right after another. I’ve seen people snot and cry and hit the floor like something was wrong with them. It’s okay to cry out and worship the Lord but He doesn’t want a spectacle and side show either. If it’s not truly from your heart then, what are you really doing.....hypocritus means “actor/show off.” When I go into a church and everyone is sniffing and snotting and the music sounds like a funeral, I try not to go back for as long as I can.
God has been too good to me for me to be depressed. Yes, I’ve had some bad days once in a while and they still come when they get ready but with some good, old-fashioned binding and rebuking, trouble don’t last know what I mean? My bible says that there is liberty and freedom in the Holy Ghost. That means that yes, you will get delivered of some “stuff” but once it’s all gone, begin to praise the Lord in thankfulness. Church should not be a depressing experience. I am sure that when Jesus stood on the Mount and delivered all those good messages to the people who followed, He didn’t make them all cry and hit the ground. Can you imagine Him smiling as He told the story about the mote in your eye? You got to admit, that is good Word. It’s pretty funny too. How can we find things wrong with our brothers and sisters when we have a suitcase full of wrongness, a cupboard full in our lives? It makes sense. I think that we all are in the learning stage with this lesson. After all the Nation of Israel complained so bad about the provision that God was giving them with the Manna that He had to give them meat until they vomited just to teach them
to shut up! How much better are we? Don’t believe that person who acts like they never do anything wrong or never say a crossed word about anyone. The devil is their father. They are a liar and their breath stinks. :)
You know folks, Jesus is coming back soon. He doesn’t even know when because the bible says that only the Father knows when HE is going to send Him. Awesome. The best thing that we can do is to get right with God ONLY through His son Jesus. Ask Him into your life. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and start you all over with Him being your Savior, Teacher and Lord. He will never do anything to embarrass you. He is a teacher and a wonderful instructor and not only that, the bible calls Him our friend. God’s Word says that Hell was made for no man but we all know that there are some who are definitely going. Especially those who were too prideful to accept Jesus as their Savior, the know-it-alls and non-believers who refuse to bow to an All-loving God. They all want servants in their lives but refuse to be one themselves....that’s pride. The bible says that God resists the proud. James 4:6 and 1 Peter 5:5 check it out. That means that they will continuously bump their heads against a brick wall. Our arms are too short to box with God.
With the earthquakes, tsunami’s and radiation going on in Japan, we need to get right so that we can go home (Heaven) and find out what the new Earth looks like. The lion will lay down with the lamb. There will be peace everywhere and birds chirping and kids playing all over the place with no bombs, radiation, or wars. Hatred and prejudice will be gone. Our color will no longer matter. Height, weight, age, hair texture, lips, hips and teeth will no longer matter because we will have our new Heavenly bodies. Our glorified bodies will be perfect and we can travel at the blink of an eye. 1 Corinthians 15:49-55
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Co 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (Complete Jewish version...more understandable:)
1Co 15:48 People born of dust are like the man of dust, and people born from heaven are like the man from heaven;
1Co 15:49 and just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, so also we will bear the image of the man from heaven.
1Co 15:50 Let me say this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot share in the Kingdom of God, nor can something that decays share in what does not decay.
1Co 15:51 Look, I will tell you a secret — not all of us will die! But we will all be changed!
1Co 15:52 It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this material which can decay must be clothed with imperishability, this which is mortal must be clothed with immortality. 1Co 15:54 When what decays puts on imperishability and what is mortal puts on immortality, then this passage in the Tanakh will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 “Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?”
Imagine walking through walls and doors whenever you wish. Think of it, Jesus did. When the disciples were in the upper room after the death of our Lord, the bible says that He instantly showed up! Now how can Jesus just ‘show up’ in a locked room with no one to let him in? He walked through the door with His glorified body. Earlier when He met Mary and was talking to her He told her not to touch Him because He had not gone up to His Father yet. John 20:16-18

Joh 20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Joh 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Joh 20:18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
Later, we see that something must have happened because He showed up whole, body and soul to the disciples. John 20:19 the disciples were hiding for fear of their lives. They were afraid that the Jews would kill them. Notice the men were hiding, the women were preaching! (Just a little side note there.) You will be able to do just what Jesus did. You want to visit another city or walk in the lush green fields of Ireland with your dog, you can! Yes, animals will be there too. Ecclesiastes 3:19
To sum this all up, God has you on His mind. Just like He had you on His mind when He sent His Son Jesus to die on that old, rugged, heavy, well- splintered cross. Will you soften your heart to believe? Please? It really doesn’t hurt to try. But it will hurt not to. Just say, “Lord Jesus, please forgive me of all my sins? I repent of all sins that I’ve committed and I make you my Lord and Savior. I need you now. Please show me how to do this Lord? Teach me your ways and make me Victorious? There is none like You. Thank you. Amen.”
That’s all! Welcome to the family of God! If you said that prayer just now, Jesus instantly accepted you, forgave all of your sins and threw them as far as the East is from the West. Everything that you did before this moment has been forgiven. That was easy wasn’t it? That’s all that God asks for you to do to get saved. Now go find a bible-believing, Holy Ghost filled church, “(that means a church that is not cold and dead,) and learn His ways and statutes and learn how to be a true Christian. And enjoy your water baptism as well. Oh, and remember, with the wheat there will be some tares so everything that glitters is not always gold so learn the good ones from the bad okay? It may take a while for you to learn how to please God but at least you are in the learning position for when Jesus comes. He will not leave His scholars behind. Belee-dat! (For the nerds...”believe that!”)

Be blessed, Rev Essie
