What did Jesus write?

What did Jesus write?

John chapter 8
We all know the story. The scribes and the Pharisees came looking for Jesus over an adulterous woman. They were ready to kill her. Not the man who committed the act with her, just her. Once again, a woman was at fault for a deed that two had done. The story goes like this:
Joh 8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
Joh 8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the
and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and
taught them.
Joh 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a
woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the
Joh 8:4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in
in the very act.
Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should
stoned: but what sayest thou?
Joh 8:6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have
to accuse
him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on
the ground,
as though he heard them not.
Joh 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up
himself, and
said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him
first cast
a stone at her.
Joh 8:8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
Joh 8:9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their
conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest,
even unto
the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing
in the
Joh 8:10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but
he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers?
hath no
man condemned thee?
Joh 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her,
do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. ~
God is good....
You see in verse 8 that when the accusers confronted Jesus,
He just stooped down and began writing on the ground. He didn't let
them affect His thought pattern or His heart in any way. He did
what His Father in Heaven would want Him to do. Instead of
calling out to their faces, each and every sin that they ever committed,
He decided to bend to the ground and write instead. Jewish
scholars say that He possibly could have been writing their sins upon
the cursed Earth. Can you imagine? "You're a sinner if you've
ever... smoked, molested, drank strong drink, lied, stolen, fornicated,
lied to your boss, lied to your wife, used God's name in vain,
used someone's precious children to get drugs for you"......
By the time that He wrote whatever He wrote, (He was good
for quoting The Word) everyone had left and the lady had no

Verse 9 says that they were convicted in their own
conscience and had to leave.
So the next time that anyone gets the urge to blame someone
for something or tries to gang up on someone and kill their
character and act like a bully, scaring people away from them,
think of what Jesus could write on the ground about them.
"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a
stone at her." Good thing no one did throw the stone or they would have
been a total liar right?
