Are you right or left?

Are you right or left?

By Rev Esther R. Scott

Good Morning Saints and if you aren’t one, become one! So that you can live free, covered by the Redemptive Blood of Jesus. Amen.

I pray that your day is going well and blessed and if it doesn’t seem to be take the reigns and bless it yourself! You have the Most High God within you. He gave you His Power to use so use it! Hallelujah!

Today I will be speaking on “Are you right or left?” So grab your pen and notebook or tablet, your drink and your snack and sit back and listen, and I will discuss this right after our Invocation of God’s Ruach HaKodesh, His Holy Spirit.

INVOCATION.

{SERMON}

Job 23:8-9  and Job 1

Job 23:8  Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
Job 23:9  On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
Job 23:10  But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Job 23:11  My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
Job 23:12  Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Job 23:13  But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
Job 23:14  For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
Job 23:15  Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
Job 23:16  For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
Job 23:17  Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.

*Numerous scriptures mention the right-hand which includes the right hand of God See Acts two versus 33-3 chapter 5 verses 31 and chapter 7 verses fifty-five 55 to 56 in Romans chapter 8 verse 34 and Ephesians chapter one verse 20. In scripture the right hand of God refers to authority, dominion, and power. For example when Jacob was blessing Manasseh and Ephraim he crossed his hands and placed his right hand upon the younger instead of the older. See Genesis chapter 48 verses 13 to 18. The right-hand of the patriarch was considered the hand of special approval and blessing especially in times of prayer and transferring spiritual blessing to the next generation.

Note that Job chapter 23 verse nine refers to the left hand of God. Soooo, exactly what is meant by the left hand of God right? We always hear about Jesus sitting on the right hand of God but what or who is on the left hand of God?

From a rabbinical perspective left hand of God can symbolize the side of darkness trial and difficulty. This concept originated in creation when God created the two opposites light and darkness See Genesis 1: 18. On God's right-hand a person encounters God's favor, blessings and increase.

Job notes that he is searching for God by moving forward in looking backward but he cannot find him. Job then admits that he is living on God’s left-hand where he does the work! Job acknowledges that despite the terrible affliction and anguish to his flesh soul and emotions, God has a left hand that he is still working through. This indicates God is with us even in the most severe crises. Job knows in his heart and soul that God has been good to him and he credits God for all that he has in life. He credits God for his blessings. His faith in God obviously got the attention of the evil one because when God mentioned his name to satan, satan told God about Job’s blessings. satan sees us. he knows when God has blessed us and he works on it out of mere jealousy. he actually told God that this godly man is only happy because God gave him a lot of blessings to the point where Job wanted nothing. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” God is still blessing us today and the enemy of our souls is trying all that he can to stop our blessings from reaching us. This is one of the purposes for prayer. Ask Daniel. His blessings didn’t come once, until 21 days after he prayed. God had sent the answer but demons (Prince of Persia) fought Michael to try to delay Daniel’s blessings in order to steal his faith. Every day there is something that wants to steal our faith.  Our parents let us down, school let us down, our jobs, and maybe even our pastor, and it may attempt to rob you of your faith but one thing that I know is that God will never let you down.

As we read we see a sudden spark of faith strike Job and he realizes that he is being tried, a term referring to gold that is purified in fire verse 10. This is verified by the Hebrew word for tried which is Bachan meaning to test or investigate especially metals. This was the fiery trial of faith. See  1Pe 1:7
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.”
Job continues to argue that he has maintained his integrity and followed God's path and his Commandments.

This is what we should do on a daily basis when the devil whispers to our minds that we are nothing and never will be anything. Do like Job did during his positive times of reckoning, continue to decree and declare that you are the righteousness of God and nothing will ever take that away from you because you are covered by the Blood of Jesus. At the end of his trials, Job got back double for his trouble. Do you want double as well? The Word says that the thief has to give back even more….7-fold! Amen!!? I want my 7-fold.

How many times in life have you felt that you were living on the left-hand of God? There are times when we go forward and we do not see God and we go backwards yet He seems to not be there. Job says that God is hiding himself in his right hand and cannot see him. Job longs to appear before God. As we all may have heard throughout the years, Job went through a lot of trials. The name Job is found in non-Hebraic documents of the 18th century BC. He was said to be a pre-Hebrew Semitic. This book has poetic reflections on man's problematic relationship with God. God will not be cast as some kind of cosmic score keeper of man's attempt to describe him.

All of Job’s belongings were attacked. His health was attacked as well as his care for his children. The reason that he was attacked is because, get this……. God was simply bragging on Job. Did you know that God brags on you? Sometimes when you go through something it could just be that God is proud of you and is bragging on you! satan gets jealous! Why? Because he once had the love of God sprinkled all over him. It was on him so much that he was described in the bible as being the most beautiful angels in Heaven. God is love, not constant lightning bolts. Just as you love Him, He loves you. As you brag about Him, He brags about you. You are the apple of His eye, the cream of His crop, the sugar in His Tea, the reflection in His Gold and Silver Vat. He looks down in that Vat and He sees you …..
Satan appeared before God to falsely accuse Job, just as he does and will do for you and I, and obtains leave to tempt him. Little did he realize that Job would still continuously bless God and so should we. When things go wrong in your life and times get dark, as we know that they will, continue to bless God! Chapter 1 verse six says that there was a day when angels came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them. He had to because he is also an angel, one of God’s servants. I preached a sermon once calling Him “God’s Incinerator.” Makes sense. Let me explain what I mean for those who will instantly think that I am crazy here. lol.

Who’s to say that God didn’t see Lucifer’s antics coming aforetime? God needed an incinerator to burn things one day like, Hell for instance. *Selah. No one can tell me that God did not see Lucifer’s ‘wiles’ coming. God looked over one day (moment in His time,) and “Oops! Oh my! Lucifer messed up!” and it took God by surprise? I think not. My God is all-wisdom, all knowing. My God is the Highest Smart that you can get in this existence. The bible says that Lucifer had a spot of evil that was found in his heart. Ezekiel 28:15 “Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” Ok, did “The Iniquity god” place it within Lucifer? Was there another god who helped our God create the Universe? I think not. The Word says that our thoughts are not God’s thoughts and our ways are not His ways. There are things that we will never understand. There are things that we will only find out about when we are standing in the Courts of Heaven. And I want to know how  those angels in Ezekiel 1 stood together but still flew up down, right and left at one time too without turning. And those wheels within a wheel? Yea, I want to see how God did that. Interesting.

Nothing happens that God doesn’t know about. We have, as humans, “free will” not “God-doesn’t-know-about-it-Will.” When God gave us free will he knew what would happen when we chose whatever decision that we chose. Why wouldn’t there be a Guardian Angel, a Messenger Angel, a Warring Angel and an Incinerator Angel? It may sound as though I am jesting but you honestly never know! Doesn’t the bible say “With God ALL things are possible?” We have to stop putting the Creator of all things in a box. Who can tell what God’s intentions were when he created the angels? The Word says that He made them all at one time. Who was there to see how he ‘charged’ them or gave them their orders and ranks? When I was in the Marine Corps, we got our “orders” and jumped on a plane, which they called a ‘Hop” at that time, and we went wherever we were assigned on our “Orders.” Angels of the military. And while I am on this subject let us not forget what the men and women of the military do for our country (or countries wherever you live who are listening to this on the radio or reading it on my blog revessie.com and/or essiescott.com.) Keep them all in prayer. They, like Archangel Michael, battle evil lifelong.

There was once a book when I was younger, a little paper book, I forgot the name after all of these years, but, there was a book that allowed you to turn to whatever decision that you wanted to that was written at the bottom of each page. If you wanted the main character to do one certain thing, you’d turn to page 97. If you wanted them do to another thing, you’d turn to page 23. The offers were at the bottom of the pages or ‘stages’ of the story. That book was so good and I loved to read (or play) it. It was more like a game than a book actually. One day I will find out who wrote those books. That’s what life is like. God knows your decisions, he knows what page you are going to go to…He wrote the book, He gave you your life! This is why we should wait on God to answer our troubles and prayers because he knows what page to turn to next. He knows what man or woman that you should marry, or what job you should take. He knows what conversation that you should have with that child who is hooked on drugs and is lost in life.  The Word says that Jesus “perceived” what was on the minds of those who were around him. He read their minds. There is nothing that God cannot do! You are not making a decision that He doesn’t know about! Amen.

Satan reports to God. Everything in creation reports to God. Notice that the Lord said (not asked) Satan where he was coming from and satan said “from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it.” Notice that the Word never says that God “asked” satan anything even if it was stated in a question form. There is a symbolism in this statement which makes the cross. To and fro equals east and west, and up and down equals north and south. And the Lord said to Satan “have you considered my servant Job there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that fears God and escheweth evil?” What satan doesn’t realize is that God uses him as He pleases. he is so conceited that he thought that God was giving him a chance to score brownie points with Him in heaven. satan was all up in the Kool-Aid and didn’t even know the flavor.  satan was jealous. satan was and is conceited. Ezekiel 28 tells us how beautiful Lucifer was.

Eze 28:13  Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Eze 28:14  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:15  Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
Eze 28:16  By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Eze 28:17  Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Eze 28:18  Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
Eze 28:19  All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

People keep trying to make bad energy ‘even’ with God’s good energy. It’s not a ying yang here, God’s power is ‘dunamis’ (dynamite) power, He is all-powerful. satan wants to be his own all-powerful entity. But he's not. Niche nadobre’. When reading the Bible, in the flesh one would think that God is challenging Satan and it has been taken that way by many ministers for years. But looking at the word in and with the spirit shows us that God was using Satan for his own purposes. Satan took it as a personal challenge thinking that he had the authority and didn't even realize that God sent him on a mission. God tries us, satan tempts us.

Deu 8:2  And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
1Th 2:4  But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

1Pe 4:12  Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

God used this entire situation as a testimony for you and me, to show that no matter what we go through, we CAN make it through if we hang on to His unchanging hand. Job DID exist, all of the characters of the bible existed at one time. But look! We are now reading about them and learning from their experiences. Isn’t that just like God? He left us an outstanding Hand Book. They went through just as we are going through today. Just don’t make the same mistakes that they did in the day and all will be well. Act like you read the book. We have Jesus! They didn’t have Jesus. We have the Holy Spirit implanted within us, they didn’t. They followed the clouds by day and lights by night but they didn’t have the Holy Spirit as a personal guide. God spoke to Samuel and Nathan and other prophets but all were not prophets at the time. He used special and called people to speak to. Prophets and Priests. But today! We are the Prophets and Priests. Don’t let the devil or any High and Mighty “Preacher” steal that away from you! Jesus made us as Believers, Prophets and Priests. The Holy Ghost lives in us because Jesus put Him there. Thank God for caring that much to send us a Heavenly Guide and Teacher so that we wouldn’t need anyone or anything else to resort to.

Notice that the Bible does not say that God ‘asked’ satan anything. It tells us that God “said.” God doesn't have to ask him anything. Satan told God that Job only served him because of what God has given him. He made it seem as though Job was happy about his temporal blessings only. There are many of us today that are happy with our temporal blessings and as soon as we lose them we get angry at God and blame him for the loss. There are too many people that look at God's right hand instead of having a personal relationship with God himself. Everyone wants Gods right hand, everyone wants the blessings, everyone wants the ‘stuff’ he has to offer us but no one wants to go through the left hand of God by themselves. Let Jesus do the hard work for you so that you can enjoy The Father’s right hand with the Lord and Savior. It’s sad to say this but some don’t even thank Him for what they receive. They are like ungrateful children, they take and don’t even say “thank you.”

There are still people living by Gods left-hand though. They are still living through the darkness and trials and difficulty. That is only because they refuse to give it to Jesus who is sitting on the right hand of God. If you want blessings from the right hand of God, you have to his accept His son on the right hand of God.

Psa 48:10  According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.
Isa 41:10  Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Mar 16:19  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
Luk 22:69  Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Act 2:33  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Act 5:31  Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
Act 7:55  But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
Act 7:56  And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
Rom 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
2Co 6:7  By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Col 3:1  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Heb 10:12  But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
1Pe 3:22  Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Jesus says that he is the way the truth and the life.
Joh 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
People still continue to make it hard to be connected to the Lord in order to get into heaven. There is so much religiosity, legalism and ceremonialism, as in Acts 15.
There was dissention in the Book of Acts 15 about circumcision and the apostles consulted about it. And this is also where Paul and Barnabas separated. “Isms” cause people to separate. Get a notepad and a pen and list your “’ism’s.” Work on eradicating them from your lives and relationships.

Job actually suffered and his belongings were being attacked, his health was being attacked, theft of his oxen and asses, murder, fire burned his sheep and his servants, there was theft of his camels, the murder of his servants, his children were killed by a tornado, he went through depression, all of his friends had something to say about it, (too many opinions that is,) and even his wife told him to give up. satan killed all but Job’s wife because they were married and became one and he couldn't touch either of them. Satan told God that “skin for skin, all that a man has, he will give for his life.” He was a Coveter from the beginning. Nothing satisfied him and he always wanted more just as he is doing today. We have be very careful that we don't begin to covet and always want more. The Bible tells us to be content.  I like to say that I am “Content but not complacent.” (Showing smug or uncritical satisfaction with oneself or one’s achievements. Smug, self-regarding, conceited.

Some say that satan was the Praising worshiper of Heaven but still he wanted more. Turn to Isaiah chapter 14:
Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isa 14:15  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isa 14:16  They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Isa 14:17  That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Speaking of the left hand of God in the right hand of God.  If you are experiencing what Job experienced in the old testament and it doesn't seem that you are seeing the light through these situations, I suggest that you to take out time to fast and pray in Jesus name. As Christians everything that we do is in Jesus. We are victorious in Christ Jesus.

Are you saved?
If you are not just repeat the Romans Road after me: Say “Jesus, I repent of my sins, I am so sorry Lord. I believe that you died on the cross and rose 3 days later from the dead, just for me and I accept what you have done, I accept you as my Savior. Thank you Jesus, amen.” Now go find a bible believing, Holy Ghost filled church and learn of Him, it’s never too late. Your new life starts now. All old things are gone away. God throws them as far as the East if from the West. Now….go live, laugh and love!
Thank you for coming on today and I pray that your week goes by Victoriously!
