Softly and silently winter came.

I got up, looked out of the window 8 a.m. and saw the most beautiful snow. While working on ministry and business, drinking a warm cup of coffee there was nothing going on outside. It's just snowy and quiet. My Daughter got up, 10 a.m. I told her to look out of the window. (Our first huge Snow in the part of Pittsburgh, Pa where I live.) She says, "Wow! Who shoveled our sidewalk?" I said, "No one, it was snow covered when I got up." She says, "Well, someone did, even up to the steps." I got up and looked out of the window to a beautifully shoveled sidewalk. I heard nothing. No scraping, no shoveling, nothing. It was such a beautiful, peaceful morning as I sat at my desk working on my computer only 5 feet from the door. I seriously heard nothing. Either someone stealthily did it or God melted it away.  Thank you either way!

The gentleness of the snow and the quietness of the morning made me appreciative of what God can do to ease our minds and slow our roll in this fast-paced world. And this special blessing added to my comfort and appreciation. God has a way of showing His creative power and as his creations, we should be thankful. God is good. And I am thankful. His Grace, Mercy and Favor pleases me.

If you have to travel in this weather, pray before leaving home and be very careful of the decisions that you make. As older folks used to say, "sometimes you have to watch other drivers more than your own selves." (Just don't use the cellphone while driving.)

Enjoy your weekend. Make a good homemade soup and some rolls and sit by yourself or some loved ones and watch a good movie. Better yet, curl up to the a bible and give God some time. I hope to see you on my radio show on Sundays at 10 a.m. ET at 1-917-889-8054 or by computer at
